A Fashionably Romantic Night Out

Today I bring you another #OOTD Post but this time, without my face in it! I know I know, it's better this way! Thanks, you're too kind! Anyway, I thought it was about time I shared with you the dress I picked up from Luxemme just before Christmas. It's a really rather lovely black bardot dress, with a twist! Luxemme describe it as:

"..... the perfect LBD for you. In the body the cut is beautifully simple as it cinches in around the waist and subtly skims the hips, but up top is where the drama happens with large cut outs across the shoulders and a gorgeous twist back" (Source)

I for one love the detail on this dress as it is slightly different from your usual LBD. It is definitely body con which is why I have done this post in the way that I have!! I do not yet have the body for this dress, but hopefully one day I will! AHA! >.<

Anyway, moving on, I decided to pair this with my new Boutique of Molly Sabrina Blazer . The subtle Powder Blue colour goes so well with the black and paired with my nude heels from Barratts (VERY Kate like, don't you agree!?) it's the perfect outfit for Valentine's Day!

Moving onto Make-up and Nails! (Your favourite part, right?!) I have pulled out a few choices for this look as I always think nail colour can be a tricky one to get right! I have 2 greens and a purple here. One slightly darker and the other more pastely. As we move into Spring (Yay! Bye Winter!) now is the perfect time to have a search through your collections and find all those gorgeous pastely/pale colours.
You could of course just go for the natural look with these Primark Nails which do add a touch of class to any outfit. (I am yet to try these as I just can't seem to get the glue to work!!) Topshop Nails | Models Own | Revlon

#FOTD - I have chosen a red lip for this look seeing as it's Valentine's Day and all! This gorgeous red from Kate for Rimmel is perfect. Together with the AVON Ultra Glimmerstick in Deep Plum, it is the PERFECT combination for that gorgeous red pout!

Lashes + Eyeshadow - I adore mascara and don't think any look is complete without it! For this occasion I have chosen my new one from Rimmel - Lash Accelerator Endless. This mascara aims to help with lash growth and promises 'endless lashes!' Sounds like a winner to me!
For Eyeshadow I have pulled out an old No7 quad. As the lips are quite dramatic, just a touch of colour on the lids will work well here. There are 4 gorgeous colours to work with and I'm sure you are more talented than me at creating an eye look here! With heaps of mascara I think you could be onto a winner! (This quad is old but you can buy similar here)

Jewellery - Silver and delicate is the aim here. As there is so much going on with the dress, the make-up, nails, silver is your best friend here. It will be delicate enough to not detract from the outfit, but yet still make you feel 'done'. I do feel that the way this dress is, perhaps a necklace isn't needed, but I wanted to pop one in to give you an idea in case you were thinking of wearing one. The small heart here is a nice little touch for Valentine's but isn't too in your face. The bracelet is a little more but being on your wrist, it's not going to be fighting for attention! =)

So there you have it, a little #OOTD + #FOTD idea for Valentine's Day. Don't worry if Cupid hasn't found his way to you, this look will work perfectly for cocktails out with the girls! Who needs a man anyway!!! Whatever you do this February 14th, I hope you found this post useful. Please do let me know what you think, is this something you would wear on a night out? How would you style it?? Leave in the comments what your plans are, I'd love to know!

With Love this Valentines.

Sarah
