'Meet The Blogger' Series - Interview 9

Meet the Blogger!

I have decided to start a new series here on Writing & Rambling after meeting so many lovely bloggers on Twitter I would like to get to know them. So I am going to try to recruit as many as I can as I think everyone deserves a chance to be in the spotlight. =)
Q1: Hello there, nice to have you here on Writing & Rambling! Please could you introduce yourself and tell us a little bit about your Blog:
Hello! I'm Charlotte (Char for short), I'm in my mid-20s and my blog is MemoirsMusings.com. I would define it with lifestyle infused with dashes of travel, beauty and the odd food post!

Q2: At what point did you decide to make a Blog and share it with the world??
I've teetered in an out of the blogosphere for years (Who remembers the LiveJournal days?). 2015 was the year I decided to take it seriously by purchasing a domain name and making sure I had regular content. My blog will be 1 this February and I am really happy with the way it has progressed. I write for myself but if anyone else happens to enjoy it is a massive bonus. Smiling face with smiling eyes
Q3: How would you describe your writing style? Has it changed over time at all?
Well from teenage angst of the LiveJournal  days at the tender age of 15, I can definitely say my writing has changed. Thankfully my LiveJournal page is nothing but a mere memory of me complaining about how much homework I had. Fast-forward 2016 and age 25, I can say I'm happy with my writing style but there is always room for improvement. Sometimes I feel like my blogs come across like mini-essays as I always try and give a balanced view. But maybe this is something I need to work on this year by being confident and true to my opinions.
Q4: Was there anyone in particular who inspired you? Which Bloggers do you emulate?
There are a few huge bloggers who I absolutely admire, Rosie Londoner just always looks like she is having such an amazing time and her photography is divine. I love Shirley Beniang from a fashion aspect and her blog/YouTube page is so aesthetically pleasing to the eye. I don't particular want to emulate these bloggers, just use them as a guideline for success and inspiration.

Q5: Do you have anything in the pipeline on the Blog which you are particularly excited about?!
Well - I have quite a few travel posts to finish off from 2015 (Rome & Vegas), so I suppose this is a reminder to be productive and get them finished. I would LOVE to do more collaborative pieces like this though. 🙂
Q6: Does anyone else know about your Blog? What do they think about it??
A few of my friends know about my blog and they seem to like it but I am wondering if they're just saying that to be polite. But as I write for me, it doesn't really bother me.
Q7: Are you obsessed with Lush!?!? If YES what is your favourite product?!
I used to use Lush products years ago before the 'blogger' hype. I have terribly curly hair so I found that Curly Wurly and the R&B cream really helped. The only problem I find with them were that they were so expensive I felt I had to savour them, directly resulting in me not using and then going off. Disappointed face
This question has now made me wonder if I need to take a trip back to Lush and start exploring again. What are your favourite Lush products?
Q8: Has your Blog helped you in other areas of life?!
It has made me more adventurous and I feel like I explore every day differently as a result. It has also made me want to travel more, eat more and enjoy life more. If you take a look at my 2015 post, it rounds up my year and everything I blogged about.
Q9: What is it that makes you so fabulous?!
I'm far from fabulous but I can show you a good night out!
Q10: Finally, can you recommend anything to us today!? (Skincare/Beauty/TV Show/DVD/Music/Food Item...anything!)
Skincare - I really like the Philosophy cleanser. It literally takes off all the make-up you thought you'd taken off.
Beauty - Try a different lipstick or eyeshadow everyday! It's a good way to rotate your products and try new looks
TV Show - Scandal
DVD - Just get a Netflix subscription
Music - I am LOVING Banks, Tinashe and Major Lazer at the moment
Food - You can't go wrong with a cheeky Nando's... (My order is a chicken pitta medium with halloumi, peri chips and sweet mash AND medium wings if I'm still hungry) 😮
You can find me on Twitter (char_x0), Pinterest (Vintagexmagic) & over on Tumblr (Intoxicatedmagic) and obviously my blog -www.memoirsmusings.com. Thanks for reading.Smiling face with smiling eyes
